Live illustration is great for distilling complex information into easily read, digestible pieces of visual information.
If your event includes a collaborative element such as break out rooms, it’s common to wonder what was discussed in the other room. At conferences with this design, participants often feel a strong sense of FOMO—curious about what gem of information or uplifting message they might have missed. Many of the events I have illustrated use this setup. I can help you consolidate this information into one illustration that everyone can enjoy and learn from. This is also a great way to show your participants that their ideas are being heard.

Who is it for?

What’s included?
A 30 minute ‘getting to know you’ conversation
What is your aim for these illustrations? Do you want to capture the buzzing atmosphere? Do you want main points to be distilled into easy to read information? Will I be drawing main speakers and their messages? Will there be break out groups? This is a great time for you to tell me all about your event. Date, venue, fees and contracts will be confirmed.
Tech check
Before your event if I am working remotely and digitally. On the day, I arrive ready to go with pens or iPad and connecting cables in hand. For digital work you will need to provide the projector. For hand drawn work, I provide all the goods.
Files + licensing
Directly after the event you will receive your images plus licensing agreement which gives you the right to use the images for social media, websites, reports, marketing and more. If you have chosen digital illustration, you will receive a time-lapse video of the artwork.
Edits
1 round of edits for digital work. Did I not get that technical term down correctly? Does an image need to be shuffled to the right? Now is your chance for a few tweaks to make this work shine.
Meeting Summaries

This option is great for AGMs, Research groups, and other smaller meetings. Send a recording of your meeting and I will create an illustration for you that captures the main points, where you've been and next steps.

Each piece of research is complex. I start with a 30 - 45 minute video chat to discover the main points needing to be illustrated for thesis work and more. Visual information creates a strong impact for academic work, emphasising important discoveries, specific technologies, executive summaries and complex data. I have worked with several universities (UCL, Edinburgh University, Birmingham University, Napier and Stirling University to name a few) and their researchers to make visually memorable hundreds of hours of research. Dense text can lose people. Let me help your report to harness the most important resource: Time and Attention.
