Exploring Contraception Through Poetry

Researchers from Edinburgh University and the Usher Institute invited academics and practitioners to participate in a workshop based on exploring contraception through poetry.  I drew the conversations as they unfolded, referencing the pieces discussed as well as background information from the two leaders of the workshop.  These images will be used again in the project across social media platforms, blogs, posters and more.

It features sections about the journey of birth, poetry, communication, and reflection, with sketches of people, a crying woman, and symbolic icons like a heart, a syringe, and a pill.

The woman is wearing a patterned orange and black floral shirt, dark pants, and white shoes, and is smiling. The presentation is displayed on a large screen in a room with green and white walls, and there are backpacks and other items on the floor and a white cabinet nearby.
